Baron Carta : Step Into The Plague-2021.

Baron Carta was formed by Jono Bacon to blend together his favorite styles of metal into one consistent package. From heavy, thrashy sections, to upbeat driving rock, and to gentle melodic sections, Baron Carta isn’t limited by any particular style, and aims to explore many areas musically.

The music is written and recorded by Jono Bacon and features legendary Primal Fear and Gamma Ray singer Ralf Scheepers, who brings his multi-octave talents and enormous power to the fold. Capping off the line-up is Morten Gade Sørensen from Pyramaze and Anubis Gate on drums.

MORE MUSIC, MORE OFTEN

Are you sick of waiting for an album every two years? Same here.

Baron Carta is changing the rules with how music is released. Instead of releasing a full album every two years, Baron Carta releases a series of shorter EPs on a more regular timeframe, usually twice a year, providing an opportunity for fans to get fresh music more often.

A REAL RELATIONSHIP WITH FANS

Baron Carta doesn’t want to just put out music here on Spotify. We want to build a real relationship and community of fans. A key way in which we do that is by providing a regular stream of FREE videos, wallpapers, musical notation, live events, behind the scenes content, and much more. You can get access to this on our home page www.baroncarta.com) – all you need is an email address.

Ralf Scheepers

Ralf Scheepers (born 5 February 1965) is the vocalist for German heavy metal band Primal Fear. He has a relatively high-pitched tenor-esque singing voice and sometimes uses a shriek reminiscent of Judas Priest’s Rob Halford, although it is his baritone lows which give him a near four-octave range in the modal register.

He has also sung in Gamma Ray and Tyran’ Pace. Scheepers has also done guest vocals for the bands Scanner, Therion, Ayreon, and Shadow Gallery, and worked with Tom Galley on Phenomena’s Blind Faith album. He currently provides instruction for all around singing, music, studio and recording/processing techniques at RS Vocal Works in Baltmannsweiler, Germany. Writer Paul Stenning has described Scheepers as “the greatest example of strength in metal.

Jono Bacon

Jono Bacon has been playing since he was 8 years old, starting with drums, before moving to guitar and bass in his early teens. His joined his first band, Conspiracy, when he was 15, before setting up his own first band, Seraphidian, in his late teens.

He spent a number of years touring around the UK with Seraphidian before relocating to California and starting his next project, Severed Fifth, which played extensively with bands such as Exodus, Testament, Dublin Death Patrol, Forbidden, and others. He wrapped up the band when his son was about to be born.

Shortly before the pandemic, Jono decided to start Baron Carta, focused on heavy, melodic music, not constrained to any single style of metal. He writes all the Baron Carta music and lyrics, and produces every release.
